After Sai Reddy, Mopidevi retorts at Jagan

Hours after former Rajya Sabha member V Vijay Sai Reddy hit back at YSR Congress Party president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy over his remarks on credibility and integrity, another former MP issued a strong rebuttal to Jagan.

Former MP Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, who recently resigned from the YSR Congress Party and joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), stated that if Jagan had a conscience, he would know whether the party MPs had resigned of their own accord.

"His conscience knows whether I succumbed to pressure or inducements when quitting the party and the Rajya Sabha seat. If I were someone who yielded to pressure or inducements, I wouldn’t have been implicated as a co-accused in Jagan’s alleged illegal assets cases," Mopidevi said.

Another leader, Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad, who also left the YSRCP to join the TDP, responded to Jagan’s remarks as well. He asserted that Jagan has no moral authority to speak about credibility and values.

He further stated that many leaders are leaving the YSRCP because they are disillusioned with Jagan’s arrogance and high-handed leadership.
