Close on the heels of Andhra Pradesh minister for Municipal Administration Botsa Satyanarayana who fumed at Eenadu for misquoting him on YSR Congress joining the National Democratic Alliance, YSR Congress MP from Visakhapatnam M V Satyanarayana turned his ire on Andhra Jyothy for making false allegations against him.
Andhra Jyothy carried a report on Wednesday stating that Satyanarayana and others were trying to grab precious land belonging to an ashram land in Visakhapatnam that was donated to it by some people way back in 1950.
Denying the allegations, Satyanarayana threatened to file a defamation case against Andhra Jyothy for making false allegations.
“The story says I and my party leaders had been forcing the ashram people to vacate the endowment land. It also said we had written threatening letters and were forcing the people to vacate the land, which is totally baseless,” he said.
He said the daily had also written that the MP had encroached endowment land and constructed an apartment.
“I challenge the paper to prove it. The survey numbers of my apartment and endowment land are different. I am not aware of the Swamy mentioned in the reports and I have never met him. There was a similar allegation on me by people who are close to TDP leader Kala Venkata Rao,” he said.
The MP stated that he is going to file a defamation case against the media house for publishing an incorrect article without verifying facts.
“It is quite pathetic to see them coming with different versions each time. These articles are being planted to divert the public from TDP corruption and I-T raids.”
