Former minister from Kadapa C Adinarayana Reddy, who had defected from the YSR Congress party to the Telugu Desam Party for the sake of cabinet berth three years ago, now seems to be repenting for his move.
Had he continued in the YSRC, he would have definitely become the minister in Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy cabinet by now or at least become an MP.
He is said to be fuming at Naidu for ruining at his career by forcing him to contest from Kadapa Lok Sabha seat.
Had he been given the MLA ticket from his constituency Jammalamadugu, he would have at least tried hard to retain his seat. But now, he is neither here and nor there. And it is very difficult for him to survive politically in Kadapa district without strong support.
That is precisely why Adinarayana Reddy is said to be contemplating joining the Bharatiya Janata Party at least for his political survival and to avoid being targeted by the YSR Congress party leaders in Kadapa district.
Sources said Adinarayana Reddy is said to be under tremendous pressure from his followers to join the BJP as his political career would be finished if he continued in the TDP.
“He is expected to take a decision in a day or two,” sources said.
