The Telugu Desam Party-Congress alliance might have caused some panic to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, but it does not make much difference to the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen which is confined to old city of Hyderabad.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi has decided to go all out against its two rivals – the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party, who have now become friends, and expose their unholy nexus in its electioneering in the coming days.

Politics make strange bedfellows, goes a popular adage. Nobody knows which political party will join hands with another party.

Popular Hindu seer Swami Paripoornananda of Sri Peetham, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party recently, seems to be of the view that his entry has completely turned around the fortunes of the party.
He told media on Friday that the BJP is going to win not less than 70 assembly seats in Telangana in the upcoming elections. “Don’t ask how it will happen. It will happen. BJP's Mission-70 has just started in Telangana,” the Swami said.
Paripoorna said he was ready to contest from any constituency that party would ask for. He described the elections as a fight between Dharma (ethics, morals) on one side and Adharma and Avineeti (unrighteousness, corruption) on other side.
On the grand alliance of for opposition parties, Swami said that Maha Kootami would not succeed in the elections. “There will be no transfer of votes at the grassroots level, though the parties might join at the superficial level,” he said.
He also sought to know what TRS had done to the welfare of the people as voters trusted and given a chance to form government. “KCR didn't rule for five years and if he is voted to power in the ensuing polls he will dissolve it in three years,” he added.
He pointed out that there was no democracy in the state as was evident from his externment from Hyderabad. “Telangana government has expelled me, but Amit Shah has invited me, hence I joined BJP,” he said.

More often than not, politicians think public memory is very short. They are of view that they could fool around the voters by making tall promises and ignore them conveniently after coming to power, since people generally don't remember the past.

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu might be dreaming of playing a big role in the national politics by joining hands with the Congress and the other regional parties, but it is going to backfire on the TDP back home in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The Congress party in Telangana has been fighting tooth and nail against tampering of voters’ list in the state, allegedly at the behest of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi, resulting in enrolment of bogus voters and deletion of genuine voters from the list.

The unending suspense over the seat sharing among alliance partners of Maha Kootami in Telangana is causing a lot of tension in their party workers, even as the elections are just 35 days away.

It might well turn out to be a disaster for Rahul Gandhi if he enters into an alliance with Chandrababu Naidu.

Republic TV published the finding of its survey on what the prospects of political parties will be if elections are to be held in November 2018 across the nation.

Following the attack on YSR Congress supremo Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the special investigation team (SIT) found that three women allegedly helped Janipalli Srinivasa Rao in carrying out the attack.

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s move to join hands with Congress president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on Thursday has come as an excellent opportunity for the YSR Congress party to make some gains in the coming elections.

Politics is the last refuge of scoundrels, said popular writer George Bernard Shaw. There could be exceptions, but it applies to most of the politicians, who have absolutely no morals and integrity.

One might be excused for thinking that Chandrababu Naidu was attending a wedding in Delhi judging by his entourage.

The YSR Congress party seems to have decided not to drop its guns in its fight against the Chandrababu Naidu government till the episode of the knife attack on party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy reaches a logical conclusion.
