"Vyooham" finally premiered in theaters today after facing numerous delays and legal battles.

Let’s find out if RGV truly created a captivating political thriller.

Story:
The death of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Veera Sekhar Reddy has caused a shift in state politics. Veera Sekhar Reddy’s son, Madan (Ajmal), is determined to continue his father's legacy but encounters opposition from within his own political party.

When he decides to launch a new party and chart his own path, the plot thickens as Indrababu and movie actor Sravan Kalyan conspire against Madan, along with the bosses of the Congress party, to hinder his political advancement.

How does Madan achieve victory despite facing obstacles and what strategy does he employ to overcome these challenges?

Artistes’ Performances:
Ajmal Amir portrayed the character of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with sincerity. He receives a perfect score for this. Manasa Radhakrishnan shares similarities with YS Bharathi.

Dhanunjay Prabhune delivers a neat performance as Chandrababu Naidu. He is adept at interpreting Naidu's body language. The actor portraying Pawan Kalyan does not possess the resemblances at all.

Technical Excellence:
The film predominantly features interior settings where the drama unfolds within three or four houses. The production values are minimal. RGV's distinctive use of various angles is impressive. The background music is typically loud.

Highlights:
Couple of comedy scenes

Drawback:
No seriousness in making at all
Total dull narration
Turns repetitive after a point
More of a spoof material than a film

Analysis
In the story of "Vyooham," many elements seen in "Yatra 2" are also present. While “Yatra 2” was a serious political subject and biopic, “Vyooham” veers more toward satire and parody. Ram Gopal Varma's narration in a serious political movie lacks focus and resorts to mockery, diminishing the impact right from the start.

Political movies made in support of a specific party aim to appeal to that party's supporters or criticize their political adversaries. "Vyooham" does not achieve either of them. YSRCP party members and Jagan's supporters prefer skipping this than owning it. This film exhibits tad poor narration.

The story commences with unexpected events that unfolded following the sudden demise of YSR. The narrative shifts to Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and their strategies to stop YS Jagan Mohan Reddy from attaining power. There is an extensive episode featuring Pawan Kalyan and Chiranjeevi discussing their political party, Mana Rajaym. Chiranjeevi advises Pawan Kalyan that it is preferable to remain a movie star rather than a politician without power. This episode is humorous and the highlight of the movie.

Scenes depicting Chandrababu Naidu's strategies to discredit YS Jagan are common political moves. There are no surprising moments. Naga Babu is depicted as Snake Babu, while Lokesh is portrayed as someone who constantly asks about different dishes and praises the cook for the food.

While some of these scenes raise laughs, they don’t work in a political movie made to help YSRC Party.

Ram Gopal Varma prioritized criticizing his political opponents over creating a captivating narrative. “Vyooham” completely loses its focus and turns quite boring after half an hour itself.

We are also curious as to whether RGV made his assistants to direct the film than himself. "Lakshmi's NTR" showcased interesting episodes and a glimpse of RGV's talent, while "Vyooham" has none of them.

The second half drags, making it a tedious watch. Moreover, it does not benefit YS Jagan in any way.

"Vyooham" is uninteresting and makes fans of the YSRC party to completely avoid it. The film lacks a coherent plot and engaging narration. It is primarily a compilation of episodes derived from gossip. However, even these are completely ineffective.

Bottom line: Skip
