Now the turn of Raja comes to kill Ravi’s wife. But Raja discovers that the lady who he has to kill is his lover once upon a time. The suspense unfolds there and the struggle starts there. What happens next is the climax.
Performances:
Allari Naresh gelled with the role in negative shades and proved well. He performed well as a sadist. And Rajiv Kanakala suited well for the role and his experience in acting is seen again. On a whole he grooved well in the shoes of the role.
Sindhu Thulani has nothing to do on screen and she appears only for a few seconds. It sounds really a wonder why she is roped in for the movie. Preeti Jingiani served the purpose and proves to be a right choice.
Vijay Kurakula gave racy music for the movie but his score is not in tune with the scene sometimes. Simply to say, he gave something beyond the requirement. Screenplay by Chandrasekhar Eleti didn’t work well to the expectations but that’s ok. Vara tried his level best to narrate something interesting. As the plot is good, his efforts proved to be safe bet. But he would have done better homework to show it in better way possible. As a director he is yet to prove his mettle.
Analysis:
The journey in this ‘Visakha Express’ is not boring and at the same time not so interesting. A few halts and jerks are experienced. The plot chosen for it, although appears to have adapted from a Hollywood flick (apparently ‘Perfect Murder’), proves to be a right choice. First half of the film has nothing big to do and the real story starts in second half. The last 20 minutes puts the audiences alert and attentive. The film can be called a time pass thriller but not a spine shocking one.
Youth audience may tend to patronize the film taking the examples of Mantra and Anasuya. Allari Naresh playing a sadistic character is something beyond the imagination of people. The roles would have been interchanged between Naresh and Rajeev. Rajeev might have suited well for the role of Ravi Varma and Naresh for Dr Raja. That can be termed as some miscasting.
On a whole, the future of this film depends on how the youth audiences receive it.
