Story:
Vijay (Nithin) is the intelligent guy who clears Group Services Examination and also sports muscular body. This shows that he is a man with both brain and brawn. His father (Tanikella Bharani) tries to look out for a suitable bride for him. In the process he finds Janaki (Mamata Mohanads) who is a banker. The routine love-hate track runs between Vijay and Janaki. On the other hand Vijay's friend Ravi (Shashank) and a TV reporter Sindhu (Sindhu Thulani) also fall in love. Vijay's father possesses a land at an area in the city. But that will be eyed by land mafia don Devraj, MLA (Ashothosh Rana). How he tries to occupy the land and how Vijay fights with him by bringing in unity among the colony people including his father to get the land back becomes rest of the story. Media, politics, goondaism and common man are very well brought on to screen with all required commercial elements.

Performances:
Nithin’s six-pack body is an added attraction. But still he needs to develop a lot in diction and expression. Lot of strain is being observed on his face while giving certain expressions. He needs to ease himself in that matter.

Mamatha Mohandas’ glamour quotient is not exploited but adequately used. She looks beautiful on screen. Sindhu Tulani’s happens to be a supporting role. Comedy by Duvvasi Mohan is good and he proves to be the right entertaining element in the film. Supreet portrayed powerful villainy as Paandu and he became a frequent actor on Telugu screen these days. He seems to have better future on screen. Ashuthosh Rana also did his part well. Tanikella Bharani also justified his role as middle class father. Brahmanandam, Ali and Krishna Bhagawan although present on screen they couldn’t bring in the laughter of their standards. In right sense, it sounds that they are not rightly used by the director.

Coming to the technical departments, cinematography and costumes played good role. Direction is also compact and gripping although a few comedy and romantic scenes bring boredom for a few seconds. Ravi Babu’s license comedy doesn’t hold better grip and sometimes interrupts the action-flow. Chakry would have worked well on music part. He brought copied tune from Ace of Base album (‘all that she wants’…number).

Ups and Downs:

  • Jagapathi Babu’s voice over for sometime brings in new energy
  • Villainy of Ashuthosh Rana and Supreet worked well on screen
  • Music by Chakri is weak and no tune haunts as an evidence to it
  • Cinematography and Editing deserves mention
  • Brahmanandam, Ali and Krishna Bhagawan are not used appropriately

Newness:

  • The opening of the film with semi-surrealistic images is impressive and new. In fact Bhudevi’s voiceover made the surrealism and metaphors understandable.
  • Big effort is kept in designing titles and that deserves great mention. One can understand the difficulty in showing titles that way only by watching it.
  • Using MS Narayana’s character to focus on the flaws in society and government is purposeful and it is adopted from old dramatic style.

Analysis:
First half of the movie runs with good tempo and second half is also not less to that. The climax of the film concludes in meaningful way without typical climax fights and action episodes.

The film is made with all commercial elements and not leaving the logical aspects behind. Each and every scene is tried to be justified in the climax, bringing an intelligent appeal for the film. The story of common man’s fight with the erratic system is dealt well in entertaining way on the silver screen. Nithin sports the muscular body in the film bringing in more energy for the subject. Technical aspects also gave ample support for the film to clutch the interest levels of the audiences.

To sum up, the film proves to be a mass entertainer and the publicity part decides its sustenance.
