Raj Tharun is now considered as hit machine as he delivered a hat-trick of hits with “Uyyala Jampala”, “Cinema Choopista Maava” and “Kumari 21F”. Since this is his fourth film, everyone is eager to find out the result.
Despite the film being directed by a newcomer, Raj Tharun has created some buzz around the movie. So how does the film fare…
Story:
Sriram (Raj Tharun) likes his schoolmate Seetha Mahalakshmi (Arthana) but she leaves his village and moves to the city for higher studies. After completing her studies in medicine, she returns to their village but Sriram still hasn’t completed studies. But his love for her remains the same and he tries to win her.
In the beginning she doesn’t accept his proposal but seeing his sincerity, she agrees. Trouble comes from her family. Rest of the drama is how he wins her.
Artistes’ Performances:
Raj Tharun’s performance is nothing to rave about. In some sequences, he has proved his mettle but in most of the scenes he seems clueless.
Heroine Arthana is okay. Shakalaka Shankar has got meaty role and his comedy has worked. Randheer and rest of the actors serve what is required.
Technical Excellence:
Gopi Sunder’s music is not catchy but is pleasant to the ears. The picturisation of the songs are also decent. Cinematography is neat. The editing is bad – pace of the movie is damn slow and scenes drag on for no purpose.

Analysis:
In the last decade, one of the hit movies Jagapathi Babu starred in was “Kabaddi Kabaddi”. The film was a big musical hit, so it is still remembered by many. Strangely, Raj Tharun has picked up the same story for his fourth movie “Seetamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu”.
How did he accept the script written by new director Srinivas Gavireddy which is nothing but remixed version of “Kabaddi Kabaddi.” is a big question? Looks like he wanted to make some quick bucks to cash in on the image he had got with three hits.
The director has replaced cricket with Kabaddi for this movie. Unlike Jagapathi Babu, Raj Tharun’s rustic romantic drama drags on and on.
Much of the movie runs on Raj Tharun and his team having drinks or cracking some jokes. The story picks up the momentum in the later part but by then we lose interest in it. Though its run time is 132 minutes, the movie seems too lengthy.
And the last cricket game is too lengthy. This isn’t Lagaan.
Raj Tharun in his usual style tries to livens up his hyperactive performance. There is couple of good songs by Gopi Sunder. Apart from these, the narration and scenes are pretty ordinary.
All in all, after delivering three entertaining movies, Raj Tharun disappoints with this movie. Old style movie told in old way.
Bottom-line: Bad version of Kabaddi Kabaddi!
