The prestigious Prasad Productions is back into action after a long hiatus and this time they have chosen to come up with a project that is meant for the society. Is it really worth? Let us see

Story
Set on the backdrop of a medical college, the story is about Rishi (Arvind Krishna), a man with strong individual thoughts and self-confidence. This is taken as arrogance and attitude by many until they start knowing him better. One among them is Pooja (Supriya) who Rishi is fond of. Few situations mislead her thoughts about Rishi but eventually she discovers the true person inside him and love blossoms. The story takes a turn when Rishi comes across Karthik (Master Gaurav), a boy who is suffering from a rare heart ailment. He takes it as a challenge to heal the boy but little does Rishi know that this challenge comes at a deeper cost. How does he overcome that challenge? What happens to his love story with Pooja? All this forms the rest of the story.

Performances
Arvind Krishna suits the role aptly given the characterization, his handsome looks, dialogue delivery and body language. However, it is time for him to go versatile with his expressions and develop ease if he has to evolve as an actor.

Supriya Shailja possesses a natural sex appeal which is hard to miss. Apart from her sensuous quotient, it is her confidence before the camera which gets noted. She looks promising.

Master Gaurav scores the brownie points. Though his role is brief, the character is crucial to the plot and the boy has delivered it with good impact.

Suresh was elegant and he carries his role with grace. Ravi was upto the mark, Snigdha was alright. CVL Rao was matured and effective. The supporting cast in the form of Rishi’s friends especially Solomon Pagadala, the dean etc provided the required contribution.

Drawbacks

  • Second Half
  • Climax Scene

Analysis
First things first, the director must be appreciated for showing the guts to choose a subject that is rather non-mainstream and his attempt to deal with sensitive and controversial issues like Euthanasia, single mother etc is commendable. Also, given the medical flavor in the film, he has spent quite a bit on studying the backdrop before starting the project.

The film is inspired by 3 Idiots. The engineering college is replaced by medical college and the delivery scene is kept as usual. Hence the first half is entertaining. But the second half is wrongly conceived. The climax scene in court is so crucial that requires senior actors as advocates. But the director brought a comedy oriented female lawyer for the purpose that lacked depth. This has marred the film and made audience got disconnected from the film.

Also, the director needs to work on making the product crisp and strengthening the entertainment values to get it to the viewers in the right manner. Overall, the film is more of an attempt to make the audience reflect on certain issues.

While some may find it irrelevant, others may connect to it strongly. At the box office, given the modest budget, the film is in safe zone but scoring success would depend on various other factors. Second half lacked grip as director made flaws during the key scenes. He failed to make certain scenes connect the audience those are pivotal. But subject wise, it deserves to be in the line of film festivals.

Bottomline: For thinking audience!!
