Story:
Madhu (Raja) and Swapna (Sneha) are the bright students in a college. They stand first in sports and studies. They tend to like each other. But another guy also falls in love with Swapna. After working on some triangle love story stuff, the story runs into post-college lives of these.
Madhu gets a job in a company and a girl starts moving close with him. The news reaches Swapna and she misunderstands Madhu.
Finally how the things are settled to flourish love between Madhu and Swapna is the story.
Performances:
Raja did well in his role and his body language perfectly suited to the chemistry of his role.
Sneha proved once again as usual. She performed well in sentimental scenes.
Raghu Babu gets bigger cake in the film as a villain. His father Giri Babu, the director cum producer placed him well in the film. All these days Raghu Babu has been doing comedy villain roles or side kick characters. But now he did a full length villain role.
Madhavapeddi Suresh's music is good but bears no commercial value. Giri Babu has shown only his enthusiasm to direct but didn't take care to make the film in tune with present trend and taste. The scenes like showing Sneha singing a song holding veena in hands remind 1960s to audiences. Giribabu appears to have stuck up there.
There is nothing special to speak about other departments.
Analysis:
The film is completely made with old theme. It has no contemporary appeal and every frame looks old. It tests the patience of audiences not because of the story but because of the beaten track narration. Comedy is also inferior. The film would have made some merry had it been released in early 90s. Now it's completely obsolete.
Many scenes appear to be artificial. The routine 'love-misunderstanding-enlightenment' formula was used for many films in the history of Tollywood. The theme can be same but the narration should be different to appeal for today's audiences.
The only grace point in the film is music and songs that appeal for class audiences. But the song 'Chandamama Ravo…' is almost like a light music song on Doordarshan-Saptagiri channel. Madhavapeddi Suresh made it too light with more classical touch. Hence the song brings noise among masses. Other songs are ok. But the placement of songs disturbed the tempo of narration. Especially, audiences tend to walk out when the last song hits the screens.
First half of the film runs active in college background but the second half becomes completely out of the box. People wonder to see Kovai Sarala all of a sudden in second half. Confusion arises due to weakly knitted screenplay.
On a whole, the film has no stamina to run at box office.
