Actor turned director Srinivas Avasarala made grand debut as director with 'Oohalu Gusa Gusalade'. The movie was highly appreciated and was a success.
So when he announced the second movie with Nara Rohith and Naga Shourya and the trailer of "Jyo Achyuthanada" came out, film lovers turned their eyes on it. So how has the film fared ?
Story:
Achyuth (Nara Rohith) and Anand (Naga Shourya) are married to the girls of their parents' choice. Achyuth is well settled in life, while Anand as medical representative is struggling in his career. At the marriage anniversary of Achyuth, the name of Jyothsna pops up.
The brothers blame each other for the mess created by Jyothsna. When their wives start suspecting, each one tells a story that the other brother fell in love with Regina, who stayed as a tenant in the upper floor of their house few years ago.
During her stay, Regina was friendly with both brothers and each try to win her love but she actually is in love with another person. An incident creates rift between the three and Regina leaves for USA. What happens when she returns back to their lives? How would their wives react? Do the brothers patch up again?
Artistes’ Performances:
Both Nara Rohith and Naga Shourya are pitch perfect in their roles as brothers. They share great chemistry, and their fun banter provides so much entertainment while watching. They drive the film till the end. Regina has not much role though she is the focal point of the story; still she has pulled off the role neatly. Among other actors, Tanikella and Seetha are noticeable.
Technical Excellence:
The striking feature of the movie is visuals. Venkat C Dileep's photography is major plus. Despite it being a small film, the cinematography has made it a rich production. Music by Sree Kalyan Raman is good.

Analysis:
Director Avasarala Srinivas begins the movie with a bang. With full of humor, and classy visuals, the movie gives us great fun in the beginning. He sets up the drama so well.
Quite unusually, he introduces both heroes having good married life, then reveals their past love track with Jyothsna aka Regina.
From the beginning he has used humor in every dialogue. He has also shown creativity in revealing two sides of the same story of the brothers. Nara Rohith and Naga Shourya use same words in describing what happened in narrating their version of the story, which is quite interesting.
Avasarala shows so much dare in starting the film showing the heroes as married guys. When they are already married, whatever their flashback of their love affair with Regina was, we know that they can't get her in the climax. So the line doesn't offer him to twist and turn it, but still he manages us to keep guessing what has really happened, who would get her. This he has managed quite well till the interval.
Till interval, the drama is about two heroes trying to tell how they tried to woo Jyotsana outsmarting the other despite being brothers. So that offers so much fun to watch them fighting for her, bonding over small things. But thereafter the drama turns sentimental when she leaves them for USA. Although she comes back in their lives, we know that they can't leave their wives, nor she can settle with them. There is not much story on that front, so Avasarala turns his guns on differences between the brothers, and sentiment scenes.
While the first half is so much fun, the second half turns too predictable and sentimental. It is like watching two different movies but still it makes a watchable fun movie.
Avasarala has written good dialogues, extracted good performances from Naga Shourya and Nara Rohith as brothers, and presented the movie with cool visuals. If not for dull second half, the film could have been even better. As a director, Avasarala shows his mark again.
