Nandini Reddy who scored a hit with her debut flick ‘Ala Modalaindhi’ is back and this time she has teamed up with Siddharth and Samantha. Let us see how successful she is
Story
Bairraju (Siddharth) is a man who takes loans and keeps absconding. In one instance, he copies a business idea from Shreya (Samantha) and steals her job. However, both come to an agreement and start a business, they become wedding planners. With their hardwork and understanding, they become big. But soon differences crop up and Bairraju sets up his own company. Whether they will reunite again or not forms the rest of the story.
Performances
Sidz has done a mass character and he tried his best to do justice but he didn’t have the right kind of energy levels or the look to fit in. So, it can be said that he was a miscast.
Samantha’s performance had ups and downs. Sometimes she was underplaying and sometimes she was overboard. But yes, she has begun upping her sex appeal which is worth a watch.
Nithya Menon is the surprise package. She has stolen the limelight with her brief but effective performance. In a way it can be said that she got a better role than the hero and heroine.
Srihari tried to do some hungama but was not able to deliver due to bad writing. Tagubothu Ramesh who worked well for ‘Ala Modalaindhi’ was not given proper dialogues in this. Sayaji Shinde was regular. The others were just okay.

Analysis
Nandini might have thought she might have just taken the idea from the Bollywood movie ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ and made her own product but without doubt she has taken 70% from that Hindi flick.
The first few minutes of the film and one can realize that this has been an almost complete lift from that Hindi flick. Of course, till interval the film follows that track and the second half sees some ‘changes’. However, she forgot to carry the same soul and feel of the original. Entertainment is important but emotions are important too. In the desperation of providing more entertainment, she fell flat. Those who saw ‘BBB’ will find this disappointing and those who haven’t will find this just okay.
As a director, she scored success is only one aspect and that is Nithya’s track. That was a good twist. But after that, Srihari’s track was stale and dry. Comedy was damp. Even the regular ’Bommarillu’ type lengthy scene from Siddharth was also not that effective.
Except the title, there is nothing really ‘Jabardasth’ in the film. ironically, the original makers of ‘BBB’ are actually working on the remake so it comes as a surprise how ‘Jabardasth’ was released conveniently.
In technical aspects, Thaman scored with just one or two songs and background score was just so-so. Production quality is good. Dialogues didn’t have strength, the lines didn’t have that sharpness. Cinematography was okay, editing was not good. Though Nandini has mentioned that story, screenplay is hers after watching the film it might take a blow on her credibility because the ‘copy’ percentage is high. If only she had focused on something original it would have worked well.
