After successfully delivering a hit with 'Nenu Local' for Dil Raju's banner, director Trinadha Rao Nakkina has now come up with 'Hello Guru Prema Kosame'.

The film has failed to create any strong buzz as both Ram and heroine Anupama are going through bad phase. Since the film is releasing on Dussera festival day, it is bound to take good openings.

Let’s see how this film has fared up.

Story:
Sanju (Ram), a native of Kakinada, gets a job in software company in Hyderabad. He stays at his mother’s friend Vishwanatham’s (Prakash Raj) residence.

Sanju gets attracted to his colleague Ritu (Pranitha) initially but later finds that he is actually in love with Vishwanatham’s daughter Anupama (Anupama Parameshwaran).

Will Vishwanatham, who treats Sanju as his buddy, agree to Sanju’s proposal?

Artistes’ Performances:
Compared to his previous movie, Ram has looked better in this film. He has impressed with his acting in the first half. His comedy timing is perfect.

Anupama has played the role similar to what Keerthy Suresh has done in “Nenu Local”. She is okay. Pranitha as the second heroine role fits well.

Prakash Raj has got meaty and important character in the movie as Anupama’s father. Entire second half runs on Prakash Raj and Ram.

Praveen has provided some laughs as mechanic who is in love with Anupama. Sithara as Ram’s mother is good.

Technical Excellence:
Vijay C Chakravarthy has brought richness to the movie with his bright visuals. Devi Sri Prasad has given regular tunes. Editing is neat. Art work is decent. Film has rich production values.

Highlights:
Comedy In First Half
Ram

Drawback:
Music
Lousy second half
Routine climax

Analysis
If you have seen director Trinadha Rao Nakkina’s Raj Tarun starrer “Cinema Choopista Maava” or Nani starrer “Nenu Local”, you would know the kind of commercial movies he directs.

His films don’t offer newness in terms of story but they provide enough comedy or give time pass moments. “Hello Guru Prema Kosame” also begins in funny manner.

The first half of the movie has lot of fun moments and it ends in jiffy manner. The story begins in Kakinada and moves to Hyderabad. While the Kakinada portions are dull, the movie turns interesting when Ram lands in a software company.

The sequence of his first day at office is hilarious. Then his sequences with Pranitha are also quite interesting and funny. Just before the interval, there comes a confusion scene involving Ram, Pranitha, Suresh and Prakash Raj which brings the entire house down.

All the actors have done so perfectly here to bring humor with simple dialogues. This is a terrific comedy scene. Though there is no major story in the first half, it goes smooth way with right dose of comedy providing time pass.

After Ram tells Prakash Raj that he’s in love with his daughter Anupama, the movie turns bland. To add some novelty to the regular story, the writer brings a twist.

Ram asks to Prakash Raj to be his dear friend for 30 days and seeks a promise him that he would help him in achieving his love. This angle looks interesting in the beginning but the writer and director have soon lost steam on this thread and have started repeating the same scenes again and again.

As the film progresses towards climax, we feel restless with routine scenes and it ends in even predictable way.

On the whole, “Hello Guru Prema Kosame” is typical entertainer that has some fun moments but routine story, lethargic narration in the second half don’t work at all. The two halves of the movie are different, while first half is time pass, second half is tedious.

Bottom-line: Works In Parts
