The producers of Ravi Teja get an additional amount of Rs 20 Crore plus from the Hindi dubbing rights.
Ravi Teja is one of the South Indian stars who command the craze in the Hindi dubbing market. His films do well on Satellite channels and YouTube platforms in the Hindi belt.
So, Pen India bought the Hindi rights of “Khiladi” and joined as a Co-production Company. The film was simultaneously released in Hindi.
After seeing the stunning collections of Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’, Pen India expected a similar trend for “Khiladi”.
Despite having a craze in the Hindi dubbing market, Ravi Teja could not bring openings to the Hindi version. The collections for the Hindi version are almost zero.
“Khiladi” was released in Mumbai, Delhi, and other North Indian markets last week. But the response was dismal. It is a huge flop in Hindi as well.
The craze in YouTube alone doesn’t bring openings in the Hindi market.
