Zee Studio bought the total negative rights of Sai Dharam Tej’s Solo Brathuke So Better that is slated for Christmas release. Now the same company has bought the actor’s next film tentatively titled Republic too.
If the buzz from the film circles is to be believed, Zee Studio has bought the theatrical, non-theatrical, dubbing and remake rights of the film directed by Deva Katta for a staggering Rs 35 Cr. The film is in the initial stages of production and Zee has decided to bet big on it.
They will be releasing the funds in parts until the movie’s production is complete and pay the remaining amount after the first copy is ready. Producers can make handsome profits if the film is wrapped up under Rs 25 Cr.
This is good news for medium budget films as OTT based companies are getting aggressive with their strategies by the day.
