Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, Dhanashree Verma, have officially parted ways.
Speculation about their separation had been circulating on social media for months, with both sharing cryptic posts hinting at their split. However, neither publicly addressed the reasons behind their decision.
Reports now confirm that the couple's final hearing and all necessary formalities took place at the Bandra Family Court on Thursday, where both were physically present.
According to ABP News, the judge initially advised them to seek counseling, which lasted around 45 minutes. Following the session, both reaffirmed their decision to separate through mutual consent.
It was further revealed that Chahal and Dhanashree had been living apart for the past 18 months. When asked about the reason for their divorce, the couple cited "compatibility issues."
At approximately 4:30 PM on Thursday, the judge officially granted them a divorce.
Ahead of the final hearing, Chahal shared a reflective post on social media: "God has protected me more times than I can count. So I can only imagine the times I've been rescued that I don't even know about. Thank you, God, for always being there, even when I don't know it. Amen."
Dhanashree also posted a message about faith on Instagram: "From stressed to blessed. Isn't it amazing how God can turn our worries and trials into blessings? If you're stressing about something today, know that you have a choice. You can either keep worrying or surrender it all to God and choose to pray about everything. There is power in having faith that God can work all things together for your good."
While neither explicitly mentioned their divorce, their messages strongly hinted at their emotional state during this transition.
