Producer C Kalyan has it was late YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s dream to see film industry flourish in Vizag. Kalyan made this statement when he interacted with the media as he celebrates his birthday tomorrow.
“When a delegation of Tollywood met AP CM YS Jagan, he talked in a supportive manner. Jagan offered lands for homes and studios for the industry people in Vizag and he was very kind enough. As I was part of the delegation, then I took the opportunity and informed him that it was YSR’s dream to see film industry flourish in Vizag. I was there with YSR then too,” said Kalyan.
The producer also revealed that Jagan did not ask the entire industry to shift to AP but he wanted the industry to work from both Hyderabad and Vizag.
“When industry people see someone like Jagan, we feel like asking more,” said Kalyan.
About CM KCR, the producer added that Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan had put a seed in KCR’s mind to make Hyderabad as a global hub for films.
Just like Chile and a couple of other countries which provide huge support to film industry, KCR wanted to something similar.
“KCR has more clarity about the industry and the losses it incurred due to the pandemic. He was kind enough to offer ration cards to cine workers. He has a vision for the industry and hopefully it will be made into reality,” added Kalyan.
Lastly producer C Kalyan who will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow, said unlike last year, he will opt for a low key affair.
