Hero Santosh Sobhan is awaiting the release of wholesome family entertainer Anni Manchi Sakunamule. Directed by Nandini Reddy, the movie made under Swapna Cinema will hit the screens on May 18th.
Santosh informs he was given an advance for a movie almost 5 years ago.
“It was Priyanka Dutt who gave me the advance cheque in 2018. After a gap of 5 years after the film Paperboy, I felt that I had come up with the right story and the right time.”
The movie features Malvika Nair, Rajendra Prasad, Gauthami, Sowkar Janaki and others in other lead roles.
“When I heard the story, I was told that there are many characters in the movie. Nandini Reddy garu, Swappa garu selected me in the audition. I felt happy to associate with them and it’s fortunate to associate with so many senior actors.”
Santosh says Sowkari Janaki used to be very friendly with him and he used to treat Vasuki as his sister.
“I and Janaki garu used to call each other darling. She shared her acting experiences as a senior. After watching the movie, everyone wants a sister like Vasuki garu. I want to do more movies with her.”
The trailer had a fun sequence about Prabhas cut-out.
“There is a scene in Europe. Prabas is my favorite hero and the cut-out scene will be very funny. You will enjoy watching it on the screen.”
Santosh says the story happens in three different stages and the chemistry with Malvika Nair will be wonderful throughout.
