Yedho Ye Janmalodo from Shashtipoorthi is as beautiful as it sounds.
While its genre may be familiar, its uniqueness lies in the rare collaboration between two legends — music maestro Ilaiyaraaja and Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani, who came together for the film’s music and lyrics, respectively.
In Chennai, Ilaiyaraaja composed two songs for Pavan Prabha’s film and suggested crafting a narrative centered on a woman’s life and love.
Director Pavan Prabha turned to Keeravani for his lyrical brilliance.
Following a meeting arranged by lyricist Chaitanya Prasad, Keeravani penned a remarkable pallavi. Ananya Bhat was brought in to lend her voice to the emotionally rich lyrics.
The song features actors Rupeysh and Aakanksha Singh.
The film stars veteran actor Rajendra Prasad alongside Ladies Tailor fame Archana.
It also features Prabhas Sreenu, Chalaki Chanti, Chakrapani Ananda, Achyut Kumar, Muralidhar Goud, Anil, Jabardasth Ram, Latha, Swetha, Ruhi, Sanjay Swarup, Ambaresh Appaji, Anupama, and Mahi Reddy in various roles.
Produced by Maa Aaie Productions, the film is edited by Karthika Srinivas, with art direction by Padma Shri awardee Thota Tharani.
Shashtipoorthi is set to hit the big screens this summer.
