Will This Former Minister Leave YSRCP?

Speculation is rife about whether Pasupuleti Balaraju, a former minister in the united Visakhapatnam district, will exit the YSRCP.

Once a staunch supporter of YSR within the Congress, Balaraju became a minister in 2009. After YSR’s death, he served in the Rosaiah and Kiran Kumar Reddy ministries.

In 2014, Balaraju contested the Paderu Assembly seat as a Congress candidate but lost. By 2019, he switched to Jana Sena before eventually joining YSRCP.

However, during the party's five-year rule, Balaraju reportedly became disillusioned after being denied both a nominated post and a chairperson role for his daughter, despite her ZPTC seat. His efforts to secure a Paderu ticket for her in 2024 also failed, sparking rumors of his departure.

Whispers suggest Balaraju might align with TDP soon. Known as a non-controversial leader with a solid reputation, his exit would reportedly be a setback for YSRCP.
