TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh is now leading the party as his father, N Chandrababu Naidu, has been sent to jail.

He recently accompanied Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan to meet his father in jail and stayed with him throughout the visit.
Currently, Lokesh is in the national capital to explain the circumstances surrounding Chandrababu Naidu's arrest and the skill development case to the national media. This strategy appears to be part of the plan devised by the ITDP, which is spearheading the campaign against Chandrababu Naidu's arrest.
ITDP leaders have been engaging in discussions with representatives of the national media, providing them with updates on the arrest and subsequent developments.
Setting aside these considerations, a significant question looms: Will the senior leaders of the TDP accept Lokesh as their leader? Several leaders, including some senior members, have challenged Lokesh's authority within the party.
Lokesh may face challenges in leading the party effectively and confronting the electoral competition posed by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, even if Pawan Kalyan joins the team.
Given these circumstances, it is rumored that a substantial number of TDP leaders are now considering the BJP as an alternative.
