The basic story of ‘Sye Raa’ was set in the backdrop of Uyyalawada village in Kurnool.
Naturally, the makers first preferred to hold the pre-release event in Kurnool city but the idea was dropped at the last minute. The event was conducted in Hyderabad.
Will Mahesh Babu’s team at least hold the event in Kurnool now is the question being mooted.
Much of the story of ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ happens in Kurnool city. But the film was not shot in Kurnool as it would not be possible to control the crowds.
The city’s iconic Konda Reddy Buruju was recreated in Hyderabad as a set. All the scenes about Kurnool were filmed in Hyderabad by erecting sets or including CG.
Will, at least a pre-release event be held in this city? What Chiranjeevi failed to fulfill the wishes of Kurnool people can Mahesh Babu do?
The team has already begun the preparations for the event. It will be conducted on a big scale next month. But the venue will be decided on the date and logistics. As of now, Hyderabad and Vijayawada are being discussed.
Directed by Anil Ravipudi, ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ is produced by Anil Sunkara, Dil Raju and Mahesh Babu. The film is slated for Jan 11, 2020 release.
