Choice of words plays very vital role in uplifting or downsizing the image of any brand.
It is ok call Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as 'Jagananna' in mass campaigns during elections. It is even ok to some extent to address so in party events and Ads.
But when something is coming out from the Government, it sounds respectful and decent when he is addressed only as YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and not Jagananna.
Naming the scheme as 'Jagananna Chedodu' is also not so objectionable. But 'Total financial assistance provided by Jagananna government so far under this scheme...." is the text printed as a box item in this Advertisement on an English daily.
Why this term 'Jagananna Government'? Why can't it be mentioned as YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's Government? Moreover, the people those read these English dailies are educated groups in cities. Majority of them laugh at such coinage of words.
Why should a Chief Minister be addressed as anna, babai and mama in government advertisements? Who are the brains behind these Ad designs?
It is high time YS Jagan Mohan Reddy looks into these subtle issues when projecting something in the national level.
