Sai Pallavi is set to make her Bollywood debut in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, where she will play the iconic role of Sita alongside Ranbir Kapoor in this highly-anticipated, big-budget production.
Recently, in an interview with Tamil media, Sai Pallavi discussed why she prefers to keep a low profile, choosing not to work with a PR agency.
Explaining her perspective, Sai Pallavi shared that she values privacy and prefers that the public sees her as she is rather than crafting a managed public image.
“A Bollywood acquaintance once asked if I needed a PR agency, but I didn’t see the need because I do interviews for my films. I just don’t get why I’d need a PR agency otherwise,” she said.
The actor added that she feels constantly being in the spotlight could lead to overexposure.
“I was told it’s important to keep people talking about me even when I’m not doing films, but I feel if there’s too much, people may just get bored.”
Sai Pallavi also addressed the pressure celebrities often face to maintain a certain image.
She noted that “being herself” often means conforming to societal expectations, a pressure she prefers to avoid.
“Rumors today become impressions,” she said. “I prefer keeping things private.”
Besides Ramayana, Sai Pallavi is awaiting the release of Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, and Thandel, where she stars alongside Naga Chaitanya.
