Why did Megastar skip meeting with Revanth?

As a 45-member delegation of Telugu film industry had an hour-long meeting with Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy and a couple of his cabinet colleagues at the Hyderabad police command and control centre at Banjara Hills on Thursday.

While the delegation comprised several prominent celebrities of the Telugu film industry, one top celebrity who was conspicuous by his absence at the meeting with the chief minister was megastar Chiranjeevi.

Though it was disclosed to the media that Chiranjeevi would lead the delegation for a meeting with Revanth Reddy, he did not attend it, raising many speculations in the media circles.

According to one report, the megastar was absent because he had a fixed schedule for the shooting of his upcoming film Vishwambhara and hence, could not make it to the meeting.

Another version is that Chiranjeevi deliberately stayed away from the meeting because he might have to express his opinion about the Sandhya Theatre incident. If he defends Allu Arjun or makes a comment against him at the meeting, it would become a big news and that would be an embarrassment for him.

Moreover, Allu Aravind is also part of the delegation and any comment from the megastar on the stampede incident might lead to further rifts between the mega and Allu families. Hence, he preferred to be non-committal, another source said.

Of course, none of the top heroes like Jr NTR and Mahesh Babu also did not attend for their own personal reasons. Allu Arjun, being the accused in the case, would anyway not attend the meeting.

Among those who attended the meeting were: Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, Kalyan Ram, Shiva Balaji, Adavi Sesh, Nithin, Kiran Abbavaram, Jonnalagadda Siddhu and Ram Pothineni.
