The reality show – Unstoppable with NBK – being hosted by senior actor and Telugu Desam Party MLA from Hindupur assembly constituency Nandamuri Balakrishna on the popular Over-The-Top (OTT) platform “aha” has been featuring celebrities from Telugu film industry.
Balakrishna has been handling this show in his own style and getting good response from the viewers. The platform is also being used for the promotion of latest films by various film makers and is fetching good revenue to the OTT as well.
The Unstoppable with NBK, which has started with veteran actor Mohan Babu and his family members, has featured ace comedian Brahmanandam, Daggubati Rana, natural star Nani and mass maharaja Ravi Teja.
The reality show also featured the promotion of NBK’s latest blockbuster “Akhanda” with interaction with director Boyapati Srinu and others; the much-awaited mega film RRR made by top director S S Rajamouli, who was featured along music director M M Keeravani; and of course, the recent hit film “Pushpa” with Balayya interacting with hero Allu Arjun and director Sukumar.
Interestingly, two senior actors of Tollywood – Chiranjeevi or Akkineni Nagarjuna – have not been featured in Balakrishna’s reality show, though both of them have their films ready for release.
In fact, Nagarjuna’s film – Bangarraju was released on Friday on the occasion of Sankranti festival, but it has not opted for any promotional event through Balakrishna’s show despite the fact that “aha” platform has a wider viewership and could have fetched good mileage to the film.
Similarly, megastar Chiranjeevi’s film “Acharya” is also getting ready for the release and Balakrishna’s reality show can be good platform to promote the film.
An interaction between Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi would also have good viewership. Moreover, “aha” platform is promoted by Chiranjeevi’s own brother-in-law Allu Aravind.
Sources said there was no attempt from Balakrishna team to contact Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna to feature them on his reality show. And the two heroes, too, have not made any attempt to get their films promoted through Balakrishna show.
It is a clear indication to the gap between Nandamuri family and that of Akkineni and the mega families. It will be really entertaining, if the two heroes are really featured in Balayya’s show!
