There are several people in the Telugu states who are talking openly about changing the name of the Dr NTR University of Health Sciences in Andhra Pradesh.
The AP government had dropped NTR’s name to the university and renamed it after Dr YSR.
The TDP and the yellow media had been making hue and cry about dropping NTR’s name from the university.
Yellow media leader, Vemuri Radha Krishna had come up with an editorial in his Andhra Jyothi paper stating that by dropping NTR’s name, Jagan Mohan Reddy had insulted NTR and the entire Telugu people.
Eenadu's Cherukuri Ramoji Rao had created all the drama in his Eenadu paper as if NTR was insulted by Jagan Mohan Reddy.
But, the fact is it was Chandrababu Naidu who removed NTR’s name from the TDP, which NTR founded in 1983.
Not only NTR’s name was dropped from the TDP, his photos and his statues were removed from the TDP office in the united Andhra Pradesh in those days.
Was that not an insult to the Telugu people? Were the Telugu people around the world happy when Chandrababu Naidu dropped NTR’s name from the TDP?
Are the Telugus around the world insulted only now and wasn’t 1995 an insult to them?
Were the Telugu people happy when chappals were thrown at NTR in front of the Viceroy Hotel?
Were the Telugu people around the world happy when NTR was not given a chance to speak in the Assembly in August 1995?
What is the yellow media and yellow party trying to say? Anything that would benefit the yellow gang is attributed to the Telugu people!
