Victory Venkatesh, Anil Ravipudi, and Sri Venkateswara Creations’ wholesome entertainer Sankranthiki Vasthunnam turned out to be the biggest hit among regional movies, grossing 300 Cr. The team celebrated the occasion with an event called Victory Veduka.
Anil Ravipudi said, “Looking at so many people here, it feels like another Sankranti festival has come around. Sankranthiki Vasthunnam is a memorable movie for the entire team. The shooting, promotions, release, and collections – everything related to the movie feels like watching a show reel. Although we had fun shooting for the movie, we put in great effort for the promotions. I wish to work with Venkatesh again. We didn’t expect this movie to perform so well at the box office. Receiving shields will give everyone an unforgettable memory.”
Venkatesh said, “I accidentally entered the industry in 1986 with Kaliyuga Pandavulu, which was a blockbuster. After that, I scored several hits like Chanti, Preminchukundam Raa, Ganesh, Lakshmi, etc. In 2000, Kalisundam Raa was an industry hit. And in 2025, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam became a huge blockbuster.
Raghavendra Rao suggested I do a clean family entertainer, and his prediction came true with this blockbuster success. It’s a big thing that even people who haven’t watched films in the last five years came to see the movie. We’ll be back with a good entertainer in 2027.”
