Ahead of the release of Varudu Kaavalenu, producer Naga Vamsi and actress Ritu Varma gave exclusive interview to greatandhra.com.
Ritu calls Naga Vamsi as a very sweet person, while the producer says Ritu didn’t look that beautiful in other films, the much gorgeous she looked in Varudu Kaavalenu.
The film will have a 15 minutes surprise element and Ritu says it will give a good experience to audience.
However, Naga Vamsi clarifies, “The film is about the journey of these 2 characters. One side of the journey was seen in the promos, the other side will be revealed in the theatres only.”
The young producer says he shares good rapport with all the heroes, because all of them are of age group.
Ritu says the production house try to explore new subjects and that’s why they delivered quality films.
The actress afforms there is no much difference of working with a female director. “The only difference is this story is from girl’s point of view. I think only a female director could do justice to it. And that’s what Sowjanya did to the film.”
Reacting to the controversy on Digu Digu song, Naga Vamsi avows, he too believes in god and people don’t see the song controversial, after the film’s release. “It’s a cool and fun number and lyricist Anant Sriram explained me every line and I didn’t find anything objectionable.”
Ritu played a stubborn girl and she says she represented today’s generation girl in the movie.
The actress is all praises for her co-star Naga Shaurya. “Shaurya is very disciplined actor. He comes to sets on time. He is very strict about his workout, diet. He takes acting seriously. Otherwise, he is very fun to work with. This character was tailer-made for him. He did a great job.”
Naga Vamsi says he fortunately escaped two lockdowns. “First lockdown was announced, after one month of Bheeshma’s release. Second lockdown was imposed, after Rang De completed its 2 weeks run in theatres. Unfortunate thing is Rang De couldn’t do huge business for its talk, due to the lockdown.”
The production house has lined up numerous films and they are introducing 3 to 4 new directors with their upcoming films.
“If I like a story, I will go to my babai and he tells if the story needed any changes. If we don’t like something in editing, we will go for re-shoots. And finally, we go for release, only after Trivikram Srinivas garu gives approval for the final outcome,” says Naga Vamsi.
Ritu informs Varudu Kaavalenu will have old school romance. “It’s not a women centric film. It’s a wonderful love story. You won’t see Shaurya holding hand or hugging me in the film. It has a different charm. It’s a complete entertainer. It has love, family emotions, comedy, action, great cast, brilliant technical team.”
Naga Vamsi says he is a big fan of Tarak. “I like Bunny as well. Pawan Kalyan is like a family member. Venkatesh is also very close to me.”
