Released amid good expectations, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya’s wholesome family entertainer Bangarraju got good opening in Telugu states.
Nagarjuna during press meet thanked the entire team for their support.
“We started the movie on September 15th and released it on January 14th. We released exactly in four months, after starting the project. It’s an unbelievable feat. All the credit goes to the team.
January 14th is the birthday of Annapurna Studios. Nanna had many releases for Sankranthi. One of his biggest hits Dasara Bullodu was released for the festival. We released Bangarraju on January 14th and Telugus gave blockbuster success. Bangarraju grossed 17.5 Cr on day one in Telugu states.”
Naga Chaitanya expressed his happiness for unanimous response for the movie.
“I didn’t expect such response for pre-climax and climax portions. Nanna planned second part long ago. But it got delayed due to covid and some other reasons. We all believed Nanna and we could release the movie on Sankranthi. We dedicate the film’s success to Nanna. Kalyan and team didn’t feel stressful. He delivered better product than what he narrated. I was surprised to see the movie in theatre. Although the film has songs, heavy action and VFX, it was made in short span.”
Kalyan Krishna said the team thoroughly enjoyed working for the film, under the supervision of Nagarjuna.
“The film was released on timr, because of Nagarjuna’s willpower. Chay concentrated completely on this film, from the day he started shooting for it.”
