Director Srinivas Reddy of ‘Damarukam’, ‘Tata Birla Madhyalo Laila’ and ‘Adirindayya Chandram’ fame is back.
After taking a long gap, Srinivas Reddy is hogging the limelight by bagging a coveted director’s post in SVB Channel run by TTD.
When his name was announced many people got confused about his name with comedian Srinivas Reddy.
“I have a long association with YSR’s family and Subba Reddy gari’s family. I have done ads for YS Jagan’s party in 2014 and 2019 as well. I have been contributing to the party but never sought publicity for my work. So people were taken aback when my name was announced,” he said.
Srinivas Reddy promises that the devotional channel SVB will bring new and quality programs. You will see all the changes from Jan 2020, he said.
Known as a director with comic flair, Srinivas Reddy is chartering new terrain. He has attempted an unfamiliar genre to him.
“Raagala 24 Gantallo” starring Eesha Rebba is the latest film from him and this is a crime thriller. The film is getting released this weekend.
“The reason I attempted this genre is to go with the current trend. Raagala 24 Gantallo is a screenplay-based thriller. The pattern is new for me but it has clicked with the current audience as proved by the success of Evaru and Khaidi,” he explained the reason for attempting thriller genre.
However, Srinivas Reddy wants to return to the genre of comedy next year. He has plans of directing three comedy movies and one of them will feature Allari Naresh as a hero.
The interesting information he gives is that RR Venkat, the producer who ruled the Tollywood a decade ago is set to return to the movie industry.
