The makers of “Mahanati” and “Jathi Ratnalu” had announced a Pan-Indian project starring Dulquer Salmaan exactly a year ago.
Titled “Yuddham Tho Rasina Prema Katha”, the film is struggling to find a popular heroine.
Director Hanu Raghavapudi wanted to cast Pooja Hegde opposite Dulquer but the producers were not willing to give the high remuneration she quoted. They have been in talks with a couple of stars, but they lack the Pan-India appeal.
The production house is looking for a popular actress who doesn't demand astronomical payment.
Dulquer Salmaan is likely to resume its shoot shortly. Some portions have already been shot. Billed to be a war film, Dulquer plays ‘Lieutenant’ Ram.
