Megastar Chiranjeevi, who previously portrayed a female character in the hit film Chantabbayi, was the chief guest at the pre-release event of Vishwaksen's upcoming movie Laila. Anil Ravipudi also graced the occasion.
Vishwaksen shared that Chiranjeevi had a joyful expression when he watched the trailer of Laila, and recalled a cherished moment with Chiranjeevi that was meaningful to him and his family.
Vishwak also mentioned that many actors initially turned down the story due to the requirement to play a female character.
"Director Ram was even doubtful that I would agree to the role. But fortunately, Sahu brought the story to me, and it has become a special film in my career. I believe I have done justice to this story. Ram has made a very honest film," Vishwak said.
Vishwak recalled a conversation with Anil Ravipudi about the proposal of doing projects like F7 or F8. Vishwak also humorously urged people to come to the theaters and make this film a Valentine’s treat.
Anil Ravipudi expressed his eagerness to work with Chiranjeevi. He then appreciated Vishwaksen for all the efforts he put into play the character Laila.
“Movies where the hero transforms into a lady have always been super hits. I hope, Laila will also become a super hit.”
Chiranjeevi, during his speech, emphasized that actors have no compounds in the industry, and stated that Vishwaksen doesn’t belong to any single compound.
He also shared his connection with Vishwak's father, Karate Raju, dating back to the time of Praja Rajyam. He also congratulated the team Pushpa 2 for the success.
Chiranjeevi expressed his admiration for Vishwaksen in the trailer, saying, "Vishwak looked glamorous in the trailer. I, along with Naresh and Rajendra Prasad, portrayed bold roles of playing female characters, and we all celebrated success. Vishwak too will find success with this film. After Laila, Vishwak will secure a special place in the hearts of many males."
Chiranjeevi also announced his upcoming film with Anil Ravipudi, produced under Sahu Garapati's Shine Screens and Sushmita Konidela’s Gold Box.
"It's going to be a full-fledged entertainer, and we’ll begin shooting this summer," Chiranjeevi confirmed.
