Mosagallu will be the first release for actress Kajal Aggarwal after lockdown and after marriage. The actress despite busy schedule is promoting Vishnu Manchu starrer robustly.
Interestingly, Kajal plays Vishnu’s sister in the film which is a kind of experiment and challenging for her as she was mostly seen as leading lady opposite star heroes.
Kajal says she was excited when she first heard the story, though she too felt little weird initially to play sister to Vishnu.
“For me, my role was very interesting. And, my character Anu is the mastermind behind the entire scam. When I asked Vishnu, who’s going to play my brother, he said it’s him. Then I asked him will people be ready to accept that? He said why not and then I said okay.”
About the film’s story, Kajal informs, “It’s about a biggest scam done by sister-brother sitting in slums. Though the original incident happened in Mumbai, we have fictionalized it to Hyderabad.”
Mosagallu is a crossover film releasing as a Pan India film here. Kajal affirms she gave voice for only English version.
Vishnu Manchu has produced the film, besides doing the lead role. Kajal says when Vishnu comes on sets, he is not a producer. “Vishnu didn’t behave like a producer on sets.”
The actress states the working style of Indian films and Hollywood films is completely different and she appreciated director Jeffrey Gee Chin for his vision and dedication.
“Though Mosagallu is first film as director for Jeffrey Gee Chin, he has experience of working under star directors of Hollywood.”
Mohan Babu during pre-release event revealed that he turned emotional when he watched the film.
“It’s really a big thing that a legendary actor like Mohan Babu sir loved the film so much,” tells Kajal.
The actress informs that her husband Gautam Kitchlu is very supportive.
“Gautam is proud of my films. While I don’t think much about collections and performance of my films, he is more curious to know how my films are performing. He wants to know the numbers.”
Kajal is also doing Chiranjeevi Acharya, Nagarjuna’s next and couple of Tamil films.
“I will wrap up all the films I had committed to do before marriage and I will be selective in signing new films,” she confirms.
