Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani recently got married in a lavish ceremony at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer.
The couple, who had been secretly dating for some time, tied the knot on February 7th, surrounded by close friends and family. Since their wedding photos went viral, fans have been wondering how much the extravagant affair would have cost.
An Instagram influencer by the name of Ayush shared a purported breakdown of the wedding expenses, and the internet seems to have given it a nod.
The post began with a note asking, “What is the minimum cost of hosting a wedding like Kiara and Sidharth's at Suryagarh, Jaisalmer?” Ayush then broke down the expenses: "Number of guests - 150, Number of days - 2, Number of rooms - 83, Average cost per room - INR 30,000, Number of meals - 6, Average cost of a meal per person - INR 5,000, Cost of gifts per guest - INR 10,000.”
He then further elaborated, “Cost of Rooms - 30,000 * 83 * 2 = INR 49.8 Lakhs, Cost of Meals - 150 * 6 * 5,000 = INR 45 Lakhs, Indicative cost of Decor - INR 40 Lakhs * 2 = INR 80 Lakhs, Indicative cost of Travel + Sundry Expenses = INR 30 Lakhs, Gifts - 100 families * 10,000 = INR 1 Crore. The total cost of the wedding - INR 2,14,80,000 (indicative cost).”
The post concluded, “Logistics, Photographer, Staffing, Security, Mehendi, Designer Clothes, Jewellery, and other costs are highly variable and can range from INR 20 Lakhs to INR 20 Crores easily. The figures in this reel are indicative and could vary based on the package and season, but are definitely the bare minimum to host a wedding of this grandeur.”
