Varun Tej's Matka Teaser: Witness Mass Euphoria

Varun Tej plays the most challenging role for him to date in the period mass and action entertainer Matka which is getting ready for release on November 14th.

The makers started the promotional campaign by unveiling the film’s teaser at Raj Yuvraj theatre in Vijayawada.

The teaser opens with a compelling voiceover stating that 90% of the wealth is controlled by just 1% of the population, while the remaining 99% vie for the mere 10%. Motivated by this insight, the protagonist resolves to join the elite ranks of those who claim the majority share.

What stands out in the teaser is the portrayal of a young man from humble beginnings who, despite facing numerous obstacles, ascends to great heights. His motto is simple: as long as human greed exists; people like him will thrive in business.

Varun Tej delivers a remarkable performance, skillfully representing his character's arc. He portrays a young man in a raw, rustic style, while his transformation into a middle-aged figure is equally impressive.

The authenticity of his older look adds depth to his portrayal. He truly brings the role to life with aplomb. The diction and body language are distinctively adapted for the character at various ages. Norah Fatehi, Meenakshi Chaudhry, and Naveen Chandra’s characters were also introduced.

Director Karuna Kumar has shown his class in handling this tough subject set in different timelines. The dialogues packed a punch, while his taking is exceptional. The inclusion of NTR’s iconic poster at Poorna Theatre is a great thought.

DOP A Kishor Kumar and music director GV Prakash Kumar worked in tandem to give periodic touch to the narrative with their brilliant works. The production design of Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainment is top class.

The expectations have escalated with this teaser that offers mass euphoria, presenting Varun Tej in a never-before action avatar.
