Varun Tej celebrates his birthday today. On the special occasion, the makers of his ongoing film Matka came up with a clip called Opening Bracket.
Seems like, the movie is a biopic of a fictional character as the video gives a sneak peek into the life of the protagonist, a teenager who is aggressive on the Kabaddi field and then becomes a mafia don running a gambling business.
Other than the protagonist, the clip also introduces the characters of P Ravi Shankar as a police officer and Naveen Chandra as a gangster.
Varun Tej’s acts of playing music on a gramophone, smoking a cigar, and making a promise to someone on the phone are complete mass stuff.
The cleverly cut video doesn’t clearly show the complete look of Varun Tej, but it is apparent that he underwent a complete makeover.
His dressing style and appearance are of the 80s style. Karuna Kumar who is making the movie ambitiously has presented the character immaculately.
The technical and production standards are impressive and the Opening Bracket looks promising.
Nora Fatehi and Meenakshi Chowdary play the heroines in the movie produced by Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala of Vyra Entertainments, in association with Rajani Talluri of SRT Entertainments.
GV Prakash Kumar and A Kishor Kumar handle the music and cinematography departments respectively.
Matka which is currently being shot in a huge set in Hyderabad will have a Pan India release.
