'Vakeel Saab' has completed its first weekend showing the film’s lead star’s strength at the box office.
However, with a growing number of corona cases and the fear among the general public about the second wave, the collections will not be strong in the coming days.
Sensing this someone has started the rumor that Amazon has offered a huge price for an early streaming date as it was done for the Tamil movie ‘Master’.
Vijay’s Tamil movie was the first big movie to hit the screens all over India in 2021 and it took staggering openings. However, the film couldn’t sustain at the box office after the first week.
So, Vijay had made a deal with the OTT platform for an early streaming date for a premium price. Thus it was premiered on Amazon within two weeks of its theatrical release.
The streaming rights of “Vakeel Saab” were also given to Amazon long back and as per the deal, it can only debut on the OTT platform after four or five weeks.
Dil Raju has denied early OTT release plans.
