“Uppena” was a smash hit. It is the only film with debutants that collected more than Rs 60 crore from the theaters. The film launched the careers of Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty in a big way.
Krithi Shetty cemented her position as a heroine with a series of hits. She also made her debut in Tamil opposite a big star like Surya.
But Vaisshnav Tej has not repeated the same success yet. His second film “Konda Polam” bombed like anything.
The third film “Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga” is releasing Friday (September 2nd). He needs to deliver a hit with this film to sustain the craze he has among the audiences.
Producers still don’t have a clear idea about the market potential of Vaisshnav Tej. So, all eyes are “Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga”.
