If the first weekend box office figures for Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's "Amigos" are any indication, the film is disappointing.
The action thriller failed to captivate the audience. The reviews were also negative. It's no surprise that it only made half of what Kalyan Ram's previous film did.
"Amigos" made around $150k in its first weekend in the United States, while his previous film "Bimbisara" made $337k in three days. "Amigos" will not be adding much to its collection in the coming days.

However, a small film "Writer Padmabhushan" became a huge hit. The film, which stars Suhas in the lead role, grossed another $50,000 during its second weekend, bringing its total gross to $350k. This is a large sum for a small film.
On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" continues to perform admirably at the North American box office. So far, the film has earned $16 million. It is expected to add another $2 million by the end of its total run.
