Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj ended its theatrical run a while ago. The film barely broke even—flopping in some areas while managing to be an average grosser in others.
A month after its release, Urvashi Rautela, who played a cop in the film, addressed the criticism surrounding her song Dabidi Dabidi.
Urvashi stated that there was no crassness in her dance moves. She explained that people found Balakrishna’s actions in the song—such as hitting her and touching the zip on the back of her dress—vulgar.
"But if you remove those parts, there is no vulgarity," she added.
She indirectly hinted that Balakrishna’s spanking gesture was crass, but her dance steps were not.
However, Urvashi Rautela said she learned a lot from working with senior stars like Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi, and Pawan Kalyan.
