Kalki 2898 AD, released last month, is already making waves at the Indian box office and continues to perform well during weekdays.
The second weekend, falling between July 5th and 7th, also looks promising for this film. Additionally, the long weekend and the Independence Day season in the USA may provide an added advantage for its run there.
Now, three other films are set to hit the screens this month.
Among these, only Indian 2 is commanding significant attention from audiences of different age groups, as it happens to be the sequel to Shankar's 1996 magnum opus 'Indian'.
Kamal Haasan is returning with this film after 24 years. This political sequel, directed by Shankar Shanmugam, features Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, S. J. Suryah and Kajal Aggarwal.
It will be released on July 12th in multiple languages. Lyca Productions produced the film.
'Buddy' is another film with Allu Sirish in the lead role after a long hiatus. This action film is directed by Sam Anton, produced by Studio Green Films, and features Gayatri Bhardwaj and Prisha Rajesh. It is slated for release on July 26th, according to current reports.
'Darling' is the third film in line, starring Priyadarshi and Nabha Natesh in lead roles. This romantic comedy, produced by Prime Show Entertainment and directed by Aswin Raam, is scheduled for a July 19th release.
While big films tend to attract significant attention from the opening day, other films often gain momentum through word of mouth. It remains to be seen which films will perform well this month.
