Tweet Review: 'Veera Simha Reddy', first day, first show

‘Veera Simha Reddy’ is one of the most anticipated Balakrishna’s mass masala films after a long time.

Written and directed by Gopichand Malineni is touted to be a Mass action drama film funded by the most happening Tollywood production house Mythri Movie Makers.

This is for the first time gorgeous Shruti Haasan and Mass ka Baap Balakrishna Nandamuri pairing together for a mass-masala action film.

The film will also see Tamil actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Malayalam actress Honey Rose, Kannada actor Duniya Vijay and others playing other important roles in the film that have its camera cranked by Rishi Punjabi and film edited by Naveen Nooli.

Veera Simha Reddy’s has its Music and background score composed by the successful south musician S.Thaman and this is his 2nd collaboration with Balayya in a row after the hugely successful action spiritual movie ‘Akhanda’ last year.

Time for flashback. Balakrishna plays a dual role - father & son. Veera Simha Reddy makes an entry. The story shifts to Rayalaseema.

A massive fight sequence between Veera Simha Reddy and Pratap Reddy (Duniya Vijay). Lengthy fight but filmed well. Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar plays Duniya Vijay's wife.

Another massive fight at Pulicharla milestone. And it ends with the political dialogues.

A confrontational scene between home minister and Veera Simha Reddy is fully loaded with political dialogues. Balakrishna targets the current Andhra Pradesh government with dialogues about "abhiruddi" (development).

The story shifts to Istanbul again. Balakrishna and Shrut are engaged and Veera Simha Reddy goes to Istanbul to attend his son's wedding. Another fight.

A twist in the tale and interval bang.

The first half has four fights, and two songs, and a bit song. A couple of political dialogus. A predictable fare so far..

The second half begins in Pulicharla. A flashback story of Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar and her brother Veera Simha Reddy.

"Jai Balayya" song is going on.

"Maa Manobhavalu Debbatinnayi" ....the item song is filmed in a mass style. The song features Honey Rose, Balakrishna & Chandrika Ravi.
