Yellow media groups have their own tactics for dealing with the public and the system. They attempted to use Balakrishna's Unstoppable Show to promote Chandrababu Naidu's candidacy positively by featuring him on the show. They also indirectly supported CBN by bringing in former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and later Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan. Despite their efforts, people remain unconvinced by the TDP, and the word on the street is that the party is struggling.
So now, the yellow media circles have taken a different approach. They found Singer Smitha who got a show on an OTT platform to interview a few celebrities. They came into the scene and in the guise of helping her, they made a way for an interview with CBN. Smitha attempted to portray CBN in a positive light with her questions as pre planned.
In response to a question, CBN stated, "In the mood of developing the state, I failed to play politics."
Reacting to this, a political analyst said, "Wow! What a line! Even a schoolchild can understand that it is a scripted dialogue, as CBN has never spoken those words before."
Smitha, who was known only as a singer before, has now been given a larger platform to interview influential figures who can speak in support of CBN.
A TV channel associated with TDP managed to successfully persuade Chiranjeevi to participate in the same show.
After seeing Smitha's promo with CBN, Social media is awash with trolls and memes. Some memes went viral featuring Smitha's talk show clips and pictures of CBN, while a remix of her song "Masaka Masaka Cheekatilo" runs in the background.
Many are pointing out that Smitha, who is Kamma, is being used by Kamma party members to promote Chandrababu Naidu's candidacy through her talk-show.
In response to this deluge of trolls, Smitha tweeted, "If you don't feel differently, I would like to share that I grew up in Vijayawada but didn't know my caste until I was in college. CBN Garu or PK Garu never spoke about caste. The people below are divided. Please stop this division. My sincere request. We must all be together. We are all part of the same human race."
In response to this, a social media post reads, "Smitha is drowning in hypocrisy and drunk on sanctimony to post such a tweet. We all know how caste-centric this lady is. Born in Vijayawada as a Kamma, she is saying that she didn't know what her caste was until she was in college. That's the height of hypocrisy. When she could take the names of CBN and Pawan Kalyan, why didn't she mention Jagan Mohan Reddy? That's the height of sanctimony. Here itself it can be proved that she is a caste fanatic. Whoever follow the tweets of her mother can easily say that this family breathes only the scent of their community but not oxygen"
Although there is no concrete evidence to suggest that Smitha is a fanatic of the Kamma caste, social media is filled with posts associating her with caste.
