Usually, big stars compete with each other by releasing their films during the Sankranthi festival. However, the upcoming Sankranthi will witness a unique competition between two films starring the same heroine.
Sankranthi 2025 will feature two major Telugu films with senior stars: Megastar Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh. In addition to these, Tamil star Ajith will also enter the box office race.
Ajith's Vidaamuyarchi is set to release on January 12, 2025, while Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara will hit theaters on January 10th. Both films feature Trisha Krishnan as the female lead.
Trisha had previously teamed up with Chiranjeevi in Stalin and has appeared alongside Ajith in several Tamil films. For the Sankranthi festival, she will be promoting both films as the lead actress in each.
Ajith initially planned to release Good Bad Ugly, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, during this festival, but due to delays in the film’s production, Vidaamuyarchi will take its place.
