Trisha: 'I Don't Believe in Marriage' Amid Vijay Rumours

As anticipation builds for Trisha Krishnan’s role in Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life, the actress recently made headlines for her candid remarks about marriage during a press meet.

Speaking alongside co-stars Kamal Haasan and Silambarasan TR, Trisha opened up about her personal views — especially at a time when speculation about her relationship with Thalapathy Vijay is making rounds again.

When asked about her wedding plans, Trisha responded clearly, “I don’t believe in marriage. It’s okay if it happens, okay if it doesn’t too.”

The actress added that she is content with her life regardless of marital status.

During the same event, Kamal Haasan also shared his perspective on marriage, recalling a conversation from over a decade ago.

“About 10–15 years back, my friend MP Brittas asked me in front of college students, ‘You come from a good Brahmin family — how did you get married twice?’ I told him, ‘What does being from a good family have to do with marriage?’ He said, ‘But you pray to Lord Rama, so why don’t you follow his way of life?’ I replied, ‘First of all, I don’t pray to any god. I don’t follow Rama’s path. Maybe I follow his father Dasharatha’s — he had three wives.’”

Coming back to Trisha and Vijay, rumours about their off-screen relationship have been swirling for quite some time.

While neither has confirmed nor denied these speculations, their public appearances together continue to keep fans guessing.

Trisha and Vijay first shared the screen in the 2004 blockbuster Ghilli, and have since worked together in Thirupaachi, Aathi, Kuruvi, and more recently, Leo.

On the work front, Thug Life is slated for release on June 5, and Trisha will also be seen in the upcoming Chiranjeevi-starrer Vishwambhara.
