Mumbai: Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan-led Kalki 2898 AD continues to be the top choice for audiences despite entering its sixth week. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film has earned a super-hit status in its Hindi version.
According to estimates, the film has accumulated a net of ₹290.96 crores in the Hindi language alone after 38 days. While it might miss the ₹300 crore mark as it nears the end of its theatrical run, Kalki 2898 AD has already achieved massive success.
The estimated budget for the Hindi version is ₹115 crores, including distribution costs and theatrical rights. Deducting this from the box office collections results in a return on investment (ROI) of around ₹175.96 crores, translating to profits of over 153%. Based on these parameters, Kalki 2898 AD is officially a super-hit in Hindi.
This marks Prabhas's first super-hit in nearly seven years since Baahubali 2, making it a significant milestone and a cause for celebration.
Released on June 27, 2024, Kalki 2898 AD has grossed ₹1044.30 crores worldwide. Produced by C Ashwini Dutt under the Vyjaynthi Movies banner, the film's sequel is already in the works, reportedly with a budget of ₹700 crores.
