1. Krishna Vrinda Vihari: The film released amidst some expectations. The audience expected something on par with Adurs but the content is not that great.
Naga Shourya and Shirley Setia played the leads and Anish Krishna directed it in the production of Usha Mulpuri.
The openings were impressive and the talk was average. The collections are ok this week and it will be a big task for this film to pass the week days' test.
2. Avatar (Re-release): This 2009 film was released again into theatres pulling a good number of audience surprisingly.
In fact, the film is available online but still, the new generation have shown interest to buy tickets at the box office to watch it.
Olden days of re-releases seem to have arrived in India as well. The collections are impressive though not thumping.
3. Alluri: This film by Sri Vishnu with Kayadu Lohar playing female lead could not entice the majority of audience.
The openings were weak and Srivishnu's high voltage cop role didn't go well with the majority of audience.
Though sincerely made with a lot of effort, the obsolete style of narration and routine proceedings failed to give freshness to the audience.
The film has almost finished its run by the weekend itself and it is tough to pull further in the week days.
4. Oke Oka Jeevitam: Starring Sharwanand in lead role with Amala Akkinen playing his mother, this film is set in the backdrop of a time machine. Sree Karthick directed the film while SR Prakash Babu bankrolled it.
The film pulled critical acclaim and positive feedback but couldn't pool up the collections. The footfalls to the theatres have decreased but are still running.
5. Chennakesava Reddy (Re-Release): The re-release of this 2002 film after 20 years in the theatres is like a celebration for a set of audience. With not much publicity this film is getting patronage from a set of audience.
Starring Balakrishna, Tabu and Shriya in the lead roles the film was directed by VV Vinayak in the production of Bellamkonda Suresh.
This film indicates that the re-releases can make the box office ring instead of keeping the theatres dull with non performing new films.
