1) HIT: Vishwak Sen starrer produced by Natural Star Nani has done well in its opening weekend. The procedural thriller has done well in Nizam and decent in AP.
It has collected around Rs. 4 Cr share in its opening weekend and is set to breakeven within a week.
Nani is planning to make HIT a franchise and ‘The Second Case’ is expected to start rolling by this year end.
2) Bheeshma: Nithin’s dry spell at the box office has finally come to an end with Bheeshma that has gone past Rs. 25 Cr mark in spite of getting hit by the exam season lull at the box office.
It should continue to do well during weekends until the Summer biggies take on. Director Venky Kudumula is being considered by big stars post Bheeshma’s success.
3) Thappad: Taapsee’s latest film has won critics appreciation and has witnessed rise in collections through the weekend. It has fared well across multiplexes.
4) Kanulu Kanulanu Dochayante: Dulquer Salman’s film has got rave reviews from Tamil critics, but has gone unnoticed in Telugu due to weak promotions.
The team failed to promote the film in spite of having promising content on hands.
5) Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo: Sankranthi winner Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo has successfully completed fifty days run at the box office.
It has set a huge benchmark for Non-Baahubali movies.
