The first quarter of 2021 has ended on a high note giving josh to the Telugu film industry. Now, all eyes are on April as several important movies are lined up for release.
On the first day of April, a Kannada dubbed movie “Yuvarathna” is releasing. The film stars Puneeth Rajkumar as the hero. Puneeth has done some promotions for the film in Hyderabad as well. But the film has failed to create any big buzz.
This weekend we will see the real fight between Nagarjuna’s “Wild Dog”, which has generated a lot of interest with innovative promotions, and Karthi’s “Sulthan”. Both are fighting out at the box-office on 2nd April.
With the arrival of “Vakeel Saab” on April 9th, the film’s business reaches to peak. This is the first big star movie release so far in 2021. This is also the first film from Pawan Kalyan in three years. So, all eyes and bets are placed on this biggie.
Sekhar Kammula’s “Love Story (April 16), Nani’s “Tuck Jagadish” (April 23), Rana and Sai Pallavi starrer “Virata Parvam” (April 30), and Vishwak Sen’s “Paagal” (May 1st) are the other important medium-range movies this summer season.
In May, another biggie is hitting the screen. That is Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s multi-starrer “Acharya”. Siva Koratala is directing this mega movie that hits the screens worldwide on May 13th.
Venkatesh’s “Naarappa” (May 14) is another biggie that will have its theatrical release in May. Ravi Teja’s “Khiladi” and Balakrishna’s “BB3” are the other two important movies to fight out at the box-office on the same day (May 28) during this summer season.
These films altogether do Rs 400 to 500 crore worth of theatrical business. So, the entire Tollywood industry is readying for crucial summer releases.
